We are currently looking to recruit a part time (28 hrs) Care Assistant to work at Crahall Residential Care Home in Gosforth, Newcastle.

Previous experience of working with elderly people in a Care Home setting would be preferable.

You will be part of a team working with our residents and their families to provide high quality person centred care. In return you will be supported to achieve this through excellent training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting residents with their daily routines and overcoming everyday difficulties arising from their memory and physical problems.  

Encouraging residents to maintain their independence.  

Supporting residents in decisions they make about how they live their lives and ensuring their personal needs are met.

  • To ensure a clean and hygienic Home.   Paying particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation.
  • To keep a high standard of appearance and contribute to the quality of Care and lifestyle afforded to each resident.   This is particularly applicable to each resident’s privacy and dignity and their personal possessions.
  • Clean all parts of the Home as directed and in accordance with cleaning procedures being aware of the Health and Safety and COSHH Statement.
  • Dealing with waste bags and their prescribed disposal.

Nurse - Full Time - Days

We are currently recruiting for Registered Nurse to work days at St Catherine’s Nursing Home in Beningbrough  You must be a Registered Nurse and hold a valid NMC PIN.

You will be responsible for maintaining high quality nursing care to our elderly residents. You will be responsible for leading the team, supervising and developing our care staff in how to provide the high standards of care we expect.

We are currently looking to recruit a part time cook at Nightingale Hall, Richmond, North Yorkshire.

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment, meeting residents dietary requirements and tastes as necessary.

Key Responsibilities 

Working with raw ingredients and knowledge of food/nutrition to prepare and cook nutritional food from fresh to a high standard at agreed meal times. 

Ensuring rotation of foodstuffs to minimise wastage, and disposing promptly of any foodstuff found to be past use by dates.

Monitoring and recording temperature checks on equipment and ensuring their verification with a calibrated thermometer.

 

WHORLTON GRANGE, Westerhope, Newcastle

Team Leader - Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full  time Team Leader at Whorlton Grange Residential Home in Westerhope, Newcastle.  

As a Team Leader, you will support the person in charge in all aspects of the home's management, including taking temporary complete charge during the absence of the person in charge. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Home with due regard to appropriate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations. 

 To monitor the performance of care staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the desired standards contributing to the efficient running of the home and the creation of the right atmosphere.

 To read and write reports/care plans and participate residents meetings and reviews as appropriate.  Ensuring that appropriate, individual care is given to each resident, in accordance with the care plans.

 To assist in the administration, control, storage, rotation and disposal of drugs and medicines.

You will support the Cook in the effective operation of the kitchen and ensure the kitchen is kept hygienically clean to the required standard.   In this busy kitchen it is therefore essential that you have the ability to work effectively in a team and have good communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

Ensuring food is used within the prescribed period to minimise wastage with particular attention paid to perishable goods. 

Ensuring that the kitchen rota is adhered to and the kitchen is hygienically clean and the floor mopped where necessary.

Load/unloading the dishwasher and/or wash up by hand ensuring deliveries are put away promptly.

RIVERHEAD HALL, Driffield, East Yorkshire - Part Time Handyman

We are currently looking to recruit a part time (16 hours over 2 days) Handyman to work at Riverhead Hall Nursing and Residential Care Home in Driffield, East Yorkshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      To regularly check fabric of the building and grounds and to advise the Manager/Development Manager of any repair work that may be required.

2.      To undertake any such repair work as directed by the Manager/Development Manager where safe and practical to do so, and with due regard to Health & Safety rules.

3.      To undertake simple repairs to plant installations and equipment as directed by the Manager or Technical Manager or Development Manager, where safe to do so and with due regard to Health & Safety rules.

4.      To clear away rubbish and debris from the garden and grounds, bagging up for waste disposal or composting, as appropriate.

5.      To carry out and record regular weekly/monthly/quarterly or 6 monthly cleaning and maintenance of plant & equipment as directed to comply with H & S policies & Procedures.

6.      To undertake other duties, as necessary and as requested by each home or detailed in the homes handyman job book.

7.      To carry out duties to assist the home with its normal operational matters

8.      Two days per week to carry out this role, days to be agreed with Applicant 16 hours in total.

Deputy Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Deputy Manager at our home in Roker, Sunderland.  

Glenholme is part of the Wellburn Care Homes Group, which has 14 Homes and a Day Centre throughout the North East and North Yorkshire regions. 

Our home managers maintain and develop the home by delivering a high standard of care, supervision and development of staff.  They are responsible for professional, clinical, administrative and financial arrangements, training and care planning within the home. 

The successful candidate must:
