Purpose of role:
Reporting to the Kitchen Technician, the purpose of a dining room assistant is to ensure the dining room is laid carefully and attractively, where residents can enjoy their mean in a clean and relaxed environment. As a dining room assistant, you will ensure the service and standards provided meet the requirements, objectives and policies of Wellburn Care Homes, undertaking all specified duties in compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety Legislation.
Ensure agreed standards of service are maintained in all areas and the residents are treated in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Ensure all areas where food and beverages are served are kept clean and tidy.
Replace soiled table linen after each meal.
Assisting residents with eating and drinking when required.
Laying and clearing of tables as appropriate to the particular meal, within the standards established.
Ensure the dining room is set up and ready for the residents to use at times laid down by the home.
Ensure any accidents are reported and an accident form is completed if necessary.
Report any faults of equipment to the Kitchen Technician.
To assist and perform kitchen duties when requested, within the scope of your experience, training and ability.
Ability to work constructively as part of a team

Maintain the highest standard in your personal conduct, presentation and hygiene.
