LOVE IS STILL IN THE AIR
Mary Isabella Widdrington, who now resides in Ryton Towers, and John William Widdrington married in St Andrew’s Church in Heddon, when they were both 26 years of age after meeting in their teens.
They celebrated their 68th anniversary before John sadly passed away. After John’s death, Mary started to write poems by way of searching for solace and comfort. Her poems are all about John, their lifetime of love and keeping his memory alive. We think they’re beautiful Mary!
From eventide to daybreak
When I’m all alone
How I long for you to come home
But this will not come true
Instead…I’ll find my way to you
You gave me love in the greatest measure
And left me lots of memories to treasure
All my love as always
