We would like to thank Donna all of the staff at Ryton Towers, for caring for our dad over the past 3 years. Thank you for all of your support, especially in his last few weeks and for being there with him and keeping him comfortable a we bid farewell to the man we loved.

We hope he has been able to touch your lives in a special way as he did ours, and we are grateful for being able to share him and his sense of humour with you all.

We will not forget everything you did for him, and us, his family.

Thank you all so much for the care and affection you gave to my mother, Dorothy, when she came to live at Grimston Court. Your warm welcome meant she settled into her new home quickly, and I was reassured.

I know she enjoyed your company and watching events around her. The photos of her with her ice cream during the trip to Scarborough last year, are a lovely reminder of how you included her in activities.

I appreciate very much your responsiveness to any concerns I had, and value immensely the support you gave me during my mother’s last days. Because of that, I was able to be with her in her own room where it was calm and quiet.

I shall always be grateful and will never forget.

Thank you to Donna all of the staff at Ryton Towers, for the excellent care and patience you gave to my Mum, but not only that, the care and kindness you all showed the family was so wonderful. I am very grateful and cannot stress enough my gratitude you have all shown during our very sad time.

Thank You.

Words can’t express how grateful we are to all of the staff at Grimston Court, for the care provided on Dad’s release from York Hospital. He’s been well fed, entertained, and most of all, secure, which in turn, gives great peace of mind. What has been so important to me, is you have given me a break, and allowed me some time for myself. A huge thank you.

Keep smiling, you all deserve a medal.

With love and thanks,

We would like to thank you and all of the staff at Whorlton Grange, for enabling me to have a wonderful day out at the Sage yesterday. It was fantastic to have the use of the minibus, and the care that Suzan and Michael showed towards me was lovely. It means so much to me and my loved ones to still be able to get out and enjoy life.

Thank you.

I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to you and your team during the end of life care that you gave to my mother, Audrey McDonough. The level of care that you put in place during her last hours was first-class in every way.

Not only did you go the extra-mile in making her comfortable, but my whole family received the absolute best attention at every moment. May I also take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to you team. It is difficult for me to articulate in strong enough terms just how caring, helpful and professional every one of them were.

It would be very easy for me to say that throughout her stay at Ryton Towers she was comfortable and well-cared for. However, the service that you provide gives every one of your residents the best care available and this enables families to have peace of mind. It also gives families the freedom to live their lives, safe in the knowledge that they can visit when they need to and leave knowing that their loved ones are safe and comfortable.

I would be grateful if you would extend my profound gratitude throughout your whole team, and I would like you to communicate my sincere thanks to your senior leadership team at Wellburn.

Over the past 16 months, I have come to regard you all as dear friends and I will continue to pop in periodically to say hello and see the happy faces of your residents.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone who planned, organised, performed and helped to make the Forever Young Music Festival such a wonderful multi-generational event today.

Mum was diagnosed with dementia over five years ago and has been a happy resident at Grimston Court for over three years.  Today we danced and sang, sat, watched, enjoyed and loved the music.  She enjoyed it all so much she didn’t want to leave and stayed in the Peacock Park Tent for over four hours.  The music had such a powerful effect on mum and the enjoyment almost overwhelmed her.  To see her so happy and enervated was wonderful.  She was more alert, more responsive, more aware and had more language and understanding than she had for six months.  The redemptive power of music and a shared experience was very apparent.

It has more heart and soul than any other Music Festival I’ve attended before..

I wish to say an enormous thank you to every single one of you for your amazing and very special care of my mother, Mary during her eighteen months with you.  I know you always say “it’s our job” but I have seen much more than the job.  You always treated Mary with dignity, but also with so much genuine kindness and affection.

Thank you to those people who kept her clothes beautifully laundered; to those who lay beside her on the floor waiting for an ambulance; to those who supplied her with yoghurts and other between meal snacks; to those who provided her with midnight feasts.

Thank you to the person who made the gardens a joy to look out on and walk in.

I have more heartfelt ‘thank you’ to you all for the extraordinary kindness and support you have given me, personally at a very difficult time in my life.  I will never forget that.

Richmond School would like to say a massive thank you, for giving our young students the opportunity to experience the world of work, through a placement within your company. One of our recently returned, was full of praise for the way she was treated, and has opened her eyes to the possibility of work within the care industry. Without such placement opportunities, some of the best students would be lost to other industries. So thank you and we look forward to our continued partnership.

I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you on behalf of Sally-Ann and myself, to thank you for the excellent care you and your staff provided at Nightingale Hall.  We always felt confident that she was comfortable, safe and well looked after, and we could not have wished for a better place for her to spend her last days.

Even though she was latterly overwhelmed by her medical conditions and difficulties, I hope that you were still able to recognise her sense of humour, fun and gratitude, which she often expressed to me, for the care that she was being given.  We were also grateful for the prompt and tactful way in which your various staff members kept in touch with us by phone, especially during the last few months.

Dear all at Nightingale Hall, thank you so much for the exceptional care given to Kath for the last four years.  In the beginning, she was more a member of your team looking after others.  She used to enjoy all the activities and outings you had.  It was so comforting to us, knowing that she was returning from hospital and spending her last few days, being cared for by the ones she had really come to love and trust.  Thank you once again from her sister-in-law, Jenny and four nieces.

To all staff at Craghall, thank you so much for caring for my mum over the last few years, and also for the kindness shown to our family when we visited.  Craghall really is a lovely home, and a credit to all of you who work there.  Sadly, we've had to move her into a home closer to us, which will make it easier for us to visit. We'd all like to give special  thanks to Donna, Ellie, Gemma, Sue, Jan, Christine and Debra.

To all the staff at Heatherdale, I would like to thank you on behalf of the family and myself for all the loving care given to my mother, Lillian.  She lived happily in Heatherdale – you made her feel part of a big family.

At the end of her days she was able to have a peaceful and dignified death thanks to all the carers showing concern, compassion and dealing with all her needs.  The family deeply appreciate your kindness at that time.

Thanks again for everything you have done to make mom’s 100th birthday special.  From the decorations, balloons and lovely staff, to the absolutely wonderful buffet.  The food was far beyond our expectations and the best banofee pie and shortbread I’d ever tasted.  Thank you all so much.

To everyone at Heatherdale, thank you all very much for your help, kindness, care and attention that you have all given Ray throughout his last few years at your beautiful home. Although sadly missed, part of Ray will always be with his ‘extended’ family at Heatherdale.

We would also like to thank everyone for your ongoing support for our family and have really appreciated all of your kind words, respect and empathy that has been shown by every member of staff.

To all the staff at Nightingale Hall. When Sonia agreed to take my Dad, Richard none of us had any idea how ill he was, except perhaps him.

I now think he was desperate to find a safe, caring place in which to spend his last time. I am very thankful that he found you. He was only with you 10 days, he passed away very quickly, which in truth was what he wanted.

Thank you for giving him and the rest of his family peace of mind, for carrying out his wishes and for treating us all with kindness, respect and dignity

To all staff, just a few words to compliment everyone on your fantastic home. The service, care, attention and support is beyond excellent.

Although we nearly lost Ray last weekend, the rapid response from your staff saved his life.

Ray’s home is Heatherdale and everyone there is his family. Thank you all for making his comfortable and welcome day and night.

My family and I would like to thank you for the wonderful care that Florence Yarrow received during her 18 months stay with you. She was very happy at St Catherine’s.

In particular I would like to mention her care during her last week which was excellent. All the staff were exceptionally kind and caring with a high standard of nursing care shown. It meant such a lot to us.

Thank you and best wishes

Just a note to thank you and all your staff for the loving care you gave to Mum during her time with you in St Catherine’s.

As you know, I was so thankful that you were with her at the end and I know you were instrumental in her being able to be discharged from hospital back into your care, also that you were able to keep her calm and comfortable during her last days with you.

Naturally, we are extremely sad, but realise it was the best thing for her, unfortunately this horrible disease robbed us of our Mum a long time ago. She was a lovely Mum and Gran and we will never forget her.

I want you to have this gift, it's so little for all you have done and you kept me calm in the end too. This is a small token from me to thank you for all your help.

Please give our sincere thanks and praise to all the staff who took care of Mum, we will be eternally grateful.
