Our Nightingale Hall home unveiled their latest project lately, working on a pioneering project with new organisation, Sensory Connexions. They are an organisation which organise sensory activity workshops for care home residents, and we’re delighted to say that Nightingale Hall was their first community link workshop in Richmond. The project aimed to bring preschool children together with our residents through art and the senses. Children from Ridgeway Private Day Nursery came along to the home for the morning, and the work shop was a huge success and we have 4 more workshops planned!

Nightingale Hall’s sensory wall was created to bring some life to the corridors for our residents. Our home manager, Mike, commissioned a Muriel to be painted, alongside a fish tanks complete with led lights.  Our residents got involved and helped to paint sculpted clay fish in our Creative Mind Art Therapy session held at Nightingale Hall.  The wall looks beautiful, and now, we’re just waiting for the real fish to arrive!
